Operation Steps:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Select discharge option (bag, mulch, or side discharge).
  3. Adjust cutting height lever to desired position.
  4. Prime engine by pressing primer button 3 times (cold start).
  5. Hold engine control lever against handle.
  6. Pull recoil starter cord firmly.

To stop engine, release engine control lever. For emergency stop, release lever immediately.

Starting & Stopping Procedure

Starting Engine (Cold):

  1. Move mower to clear, level area.
  2. Set cutting height to highest position.
  3. Press primer bulb 3 times.
  4. Hold engine control lever against handle.
  5. Pull starter cord briskly until engine starts.

Starting Engine (Warm): Priming not usually needed. Follow steps 4-5.

Stopping Engine: Release engine control lever. Engine and blade will stop within a few seconds.

Tip: If engine does not start after 3 pulls, wait 2 minutes and repeat. Do not flood engine with excessive priming.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment changes height for all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop engine and wait for blade to stop.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever toward wheel.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6, with 1 being lowest cut).
  4. Release lever to lock into place.

For best results, do not cut more than 1/3 of grass blade length at one time. Adjust height seasonally: higher in summer heat, lower in spring/fall.
