Assembly Instructions

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  2. Install the grass bag: Attach bag support frame to rear discharge chute, then hook bag onto frame.
  3. Install the discharge chute: For side discharge, attach chute to deck opening with wing nut.

  5. Add engine oil and fuel: Use SAE 30 detergent oil (approx. 20 oz.) and fresh unleaded gasoline.

WARNING! Do not add fuel indoors or while engine is hot. Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation.

First-Time Operation

Before starting, perform pre-operation checks.

  1. Check oil level: Ensure oil is at full mark on dipstick.
  2. Add fuel: Fill tank with fresh unleaded gasoline (no more than 1/2 inch below fill neck).
  3. Set cutting height: Adjust lever to desired position (start at highest setting for first mow).
  4. Select discharge mode: Install appropriate chute or plug for mulching/bagging.
  5. Start engine: Set throttle to FAST, pull starter cord firmly.

  3. Bagging: Attach grass bag assembly. Collects clippings for disposal. Ensure bag is empty when half full.

Tip: For best mulching, mow when grass is dry and cut no more than 1/3 of grass height at once.

Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance ensures long life and safe operation.

  1. Before each use: Check oil level, inspect blade for damage, clear deck of debris.
  2. Every 25 hours: Change engine oil (or annually).
  3. Every season: Replace air filter, spark plug. Sharpen or replace blade.
