Assembly Instructions

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

Controls and Operation

Main controls: Engine throttle, recoil starter, blade control bail, and height adjustment lever.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil level and add gasoline.
  2. Move throttle control to FAST position.
  3. Press primer bulb 3 times (cold engine).
  4. Pull recoil starter handle firmly.

Stopping: Release blade control bail to stop blade. Move throttle to STOP position.

Blade Control Bail: Must be held against handle to keep blade engaged. Automatically stops blade when released.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single lever adjusts all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop engine and wait for blade to stop completely.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever toward wheel.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6, lowest to highest).
  4. Release lever to lock in position.

Tip: For first mow of season, set to highest setting. Never remove more than 1/3 of grass height at one time.

3-in-1 Discharge System

Configure for side discharge, mulching, or bagging.

  1. Side Discharge: Install discharge chute. Grass discharges to side.
  2. Mulching: Install mulch plug in discharge opening. Cuts clippings finely.
  3. Bagging: Install rear bagger and remove discharge chute/mulch plug.

WARNING! Always operate with either bagger, mulch plug, or discharge chute properly installed.
