Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts and inspect for damage. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with bolts and wing nuts.
  2. Install upper handle: Connect to lower handle, secure with provided hardware.
  3. Attach discharge chute: Slide into deck opening, secure with knob or bolt.
  4. Install rear bagger: Attach bag frame to deck, hook bag onto frame.
  5. Install mulching plug: Insert into discharge opening when mulching.
  6. Add engine oil: Fill with SAE 30 detergent oil (check dipstick).
  7. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

WARNING! Do not attempt to start engine before adding oil and fuel. Keep hands and feet clear of cutting blade during assembly.

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Drive control lever (squeeze to engage drive), height adjustment lever, engine control (stop) cable.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Prime engine (if equipped) by pressing primer bulb 3 times.
  3. Set throttle to FAST position.
  4. Pull recoil starter firmly until engine starts.

Stopping: Release drive control, move throttle to STOP, wait for blade to stop completely.

Operating Tips: Mow at steady pace, overlap passes by 2-3 inches, avoid mowing wet grass.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment for all four wheels.

  1. Stop engine and wait for blade to stop.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever toward wheel.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6, lowest to highest).
  4. Release lever to lock in position.

Recommended Settings: 2.5-3 inches for most grasses, higher for uneven terrain, lower for formal lawns.

CAUTION! Always adjust height with engine off and blade stopped.

3-in-1 Discharge System

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulching plug, remove bagger. Cuts clippings finely and returns to lawn.
  2. Bagging: Install rear bagger, remove mulching plug. Collects clippings for disposal.
  3. Side Discharge: Install discharge chute, remove bagger and plug. Ejects clippings to side.

Tip: Empty bag when half full for best performance. Clean underside of deck after each use.

Storage & Winterization

  1. Run engine to warm oil, then drain completely.

  4. Clean entire mower, especially underside of deck.
  5. Store in dry, covered area, preferably off concrete floor.
  6. Cover with breathable fabric (not plastic).

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank without stabilizer. Gasoline deteriorates and can damage engine.
