Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts and check against parts list. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach Lower Handle: Bolt lower handle sections to deck using provided hardware.

  3. Install Grass Bag: Attach bag support brackets to deck, hang bag on brackets.

  5. Add Engine Oil: Fill engine with SAE 30 detergent oil (check dipstick).
  6. Add Gasoline: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane or higher).

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Safety bail (must be held to run), height adjustment lever, fold knobs.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Push primer bulb 3 times (cold engine).
  3. Set throttle to FAST position.
  4. Hold safety bail against handle.
  5. Pull starter cord briskly.

Stopping: Release safety bail. Engine and blade will stop.

Height Adjustment: Move single lever to desired position (1-6).

Cutting System Setup

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug (blocks discharge chute). Grass is cut finely and returned to lawn.
  2. Bagging: Remove mulch plug, install grass bag on rear brackets.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulch plug and bag, attach side discharge chute.

Tip: For best mulching, mow when grass is dry and not too tall.
