Assembly Instructions

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, clear surface.

  1. Attach handle: Secure upper and lower handle sections with provided bolts and wing nuts.
  2. Install grass bag: Attach bag support brackets to deck, then hook bag onto brackets.
  3. Connect drive cable: Route drive control cable to engine and secure with clamp.
  4. Install side-discharge chute: Attach to deck opening if using side-discharge mode.
  5. Add oil and fuel: Fill engine with SAE 30 oil (check dipstick) and unleaded gasoline.

First-Time Setup

  2. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline with no more than 10% ethanol.

  5. Select mode: Install mulch plug, bag, or side-discharge chute as needed.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjusts all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Locate height adjustment lever on left side of deck.
  2. Pull lever outward and move to desired setting (1-6).
  3. Release lever to lock in position.
  4. Recommended: Higher setting for first mow of season or uneven terrain.

Tip: Always stop engine and blade before adjusting height.

Mulching, Bagging & Side Discharge

3-in-1 system allows choice of clipping management.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug in rear discharge opening. Cuts clippings finely back into lawn.
  2. Bagging: Attach grass bag to rear brackets. Empty when bag is 2/3 full.
  3. Side Discharge: Install discharge chute on right side. Use for tall/wet grass.

WARNING! Always ensure proper attachment is secured before operation.

Safety Features

Safety Key: Must be inserted to start engine; removes to stop. Blade Brake Clutch: Stops blade within 3 seconds when lever released. Operator Presence Control: Engine stops if handle is released. Protective Deck: Shields blade area.
