Controls and Operation

Main controls: Recoil starter, throttle control, drive control bar, and height adjustment lever.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Push primer bulb 3 times (cold engine).
  2. Set throttle to FAST position.
  3. Pull recoil starter briskly.
  4. Allow engine to warm up 30 seconds.

Operation: Squeeze drive control bar against handle to engage self-propulsion. Release to stop. Adjust speed with throttle. Always mow across slopes, not up and down.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment for all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop mower and turn off engine.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever toward wheel.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6).
  4. Release lever to lock in place.
  5. Test by rolling mower to ensure all wheels are at same height.

Tip: For healthier grass, never cut more than 1/3 of grass blade length at one time.

3-in-1 Function Setup

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulching plug in rear discharge opening. Grass clippings are cut finely and returned to lawn.
  2. Bagging: Remove mulching plug, attach grass bag to rear brackets.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulching plug and bag, attach side discharge chute to right side.

WARNING! Always stop engine and disconnect spark plug before changing cutting functions.
