Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts and inspect for damage. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with bolts and wing nuts.
  2. Install upper handle: Connect to lower handle, tighten knobs.
  3. Attach grass bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck brackets, ensure secure latch.
  4. Install side discharge chute: Attach to deck opening with provided pin.
  5. Add engine oil: Fill with SAE 30 detergent oil (20 oz. capacity).
  6. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

WARNING! Do not add fuel or oil while engine is hot. Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation.

DANGER! Keep hands and feet away from rotating blades. Never reach under deck while engine is running.

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Drive control bar (must be held to propel), height adjustment lever, primer bulb, recoil starter grip.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Push primer bulb 3 times (cold engine).
  3. Set throttle to FAST position.
  4. Pull recoil starter firmly.

Stopping: Release drive control bar, move throttle to STOP position.

Operation Tips: Mow at steady pace, overlap passes slightly, avoid mowing wet grass.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment changes height for all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop engine and wait for blades to stop.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever toward wheel.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6, lowest to highest).
  4. Release lever to lock.

Recommended Settings: 2.5-3 inches for normal turf, 3.5+ inches for rough/uneven terrain.

Tip: Adjust height on level ground for even setting.

3-in-1 Function Setup

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug in rear discharge opening. Ensure side chute is removed.
  2. Bagging: Remove mulch plug, attach grass bag frame securely.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulch plug and bag, install side discharge chute with retaining pin.

WARNING! Always operate with one of the three configurations properly installed. Never operate without any discharge opening covered.

  3. Clean entire mower, especially underside of deck.
