Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts from box. Ensure all components are present before assembly.

  1. Attach handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with provided bolts and wing nuts.
  2. Install upper handle: Connect to lower handle, tighten knobs securely.
  3. Attach grass bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck brackets, ensure bag is fully seated.
  4. Install side discharge chute: Slide into opening on right side of deck, secure with pin.
  5. Add engine oil: Fill with 20 oz of SAE 30 motor oil (check dipstick).
  6. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

WARNING! Wear gloves during assembly. Do not start engine until assembly is complete and all fasteners are tightened.

Safety Information

Read all instructions before operating. Always wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Clear mowing area: Remove stones, toys, and other objects that could be thrown.
  2. Check fuel: Fill outdoors, away from ignition sources. Wipe up spills immediately.
  3. Start safely: Ensure spark plug wire is connected. Stand clear of discharge chute.
  4. Operate carefully: Do not mow wet grass. Always push mower forward; never pull backward.
  5. Stop engine: Release blade control handle to stop blade. Wait for all moving parts to stop before adjusting or clearing blockages.

DANGER! Keep hands and feet away from rotating blade. Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.

Controls and Operation

Main controls: Blade control handle (deadman switch), throttle control, primer bulb, recoil starter grip.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Move throttle control to FAST position.
  3. Press primer bulb 3 times (cold engine).
  4. Hold blade control handle against handlebar.
  5. Pull recoil starter briskly.

Stopping: Release blade control handle. Move throttle to STOP position.

Operation Tips: Mow at steady pace. Overlap passes by 2-3 inches for even cut.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment for all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop engine and wait for blade to stop completely.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever toward wheel.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6, lowest to highest).
  4. Release lever to lock into place.
  5. Check that all wheels are at same height.

Recommended Settings: 2.5" for normal lawns, 3" during hot/dry conditions, 1.5"-2" for final fall mowing.

3-in-1 Function Setup

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug in rear discharge opening. Remove grass bag and side discharge chute.
  2. Bagging: Attach grass bag to rear brackets. Ensure mulch plug is removed.
  3. Side Discharge: Install side discharge chute. Remove mulch plug and grass bag.

Note: Always use appropriate configuration. Never operate with both mulch plug and bag attached simultaneously.
